Enologica Cassara, Grillo 2023

Enologica Cassara was founded in 1904 in Alcamo, Sicily. Now into their fourth generation of family ownership, not only are they are some of the island's most respected winemakers; but have converted fully to organic farming whilst focusing on the indigenous grapes which Sicily does best. Grillo 2023 is a lovely, soft drop of Sicilian sunshine. The nose is expressive with notes of white peach, apricot, blossom and marzipan. Fermenting in stainless steel has retained freshness on the palate, which certainly comes through with the bright acidity and further zingy, nutty flavours on the finish. Perfect with seafood.
